In developing countries, around 80% of all illnesses are due to contaminated water that is unfit for human consumption. Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries in the world, and the lack of access to clean water is a major issue especially for families living in urban rural communities where they often rely on polluted water from nearby ponds and canals for drinking and cooking.
With no other alternative, poor families are forced to drink contaminated water making them severely ill. However, with the support of our donors, UHR digs deep and shallow tube wells in Bangladesh’s remote most needy urban communities, giving them access to clean water for drinking, cooking, hygiene and more.
Help us dig more wells. Donate today to provide the poor with access to safe and clean water.
