United Hands Relief - United For Humanity
UHR is continuously working to assist and empower under served families and communities. United Hands Relief provides a variety of resources to the local communities
The U.S. is often regarded as the wealthiest country in the world. But how much of that is true? Last year, an estimated 38.1 million people lived below the line of poverty in the U.S. Of that number, 11.9 million are children – that’s almost one in every six children. Despite America’s status as being the world’s richest country per capita, the country continues to struggle with unemployment and wage inequality. One in seven people were at risk of suffering from hunger in the U.S., as well as 3.5 million people that were forced to sleep in parks, under bridges, in shelters or cars. Officially, the rate of poverty is estimated at 15.1 percent; however, some argue that the real poverty rate is much higher placing it at 25 percent. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) estimated that 11.1 of US households were food insecure in 2018. This means that approximately 14.3 million households had difficulty providing enough food for their family members due to lack of resources and income.

Currently UHR Local Projects has two national facilitie
On a daily basis local residents facing disaster and hardship can receive distributable resources, food and other assistance. These locations also act as hubs for UHR’s response to timely disaster relief efforts, often providing support nationally across state lines.
UHR aims to help the needy and disaster victims internationally and throughout the U.S. We respond to natural disasters by deploying a team of volunteers to the affected areas to help provide relief to the victims. UHR provides food to the needy in shelters and to the homeless under bridges. UHR also provides backpacks and school supplies to children in needy communities. UHR is helping feed hundreds of homeless people in Dallas. Like many other U.S. cities, Dallas is one of the largest areas that has many homeless people living on the streets and under bridges. We have an obligation toward humanity and the least we can do is offer them something to eat, drink and clothing. Call our office to find out how you can volunteer or simply donate any amount to be part of this noble cause.
