In response to the potential spread of the novel Coronavirus in the Gaza Strip and Jordan, United Hands Relief delivered 1,000 customized food parcels to families under quarantine, with a focus on people living in displacement and refugees camps.
Gaza is one of the most at risk cities in the world for an outbreak of the novel Coronavirus.
Thousands of vulnerable families live in cramped conditions with no access to clean water or proper sanitation, and are already facing crises like conflict and hunger. If the coronavirus reaches refugee camps, where people are already struggling with inadequate healthcare, poor hygiene and overcrowding, it will spread at an alarming rate and is likely to cause a devastating loss of life. For these communities, coronavirus could be a catastrophe.
