On the Turkey–Syria border, thousands of displaced families continue to face harsh conditions—especially during winter, when cold temperatures and limited access to basic services make daily life even more difficult. In response, UHR built 120 permanent homes to establish a safe and dignified community known as Al Rahma Village. More than a housing project, the village represents stability for families who have endured uncertainty, loss, and repeated displacement.

UHR’s support does not end with construction. The families living in Al Rahma Village are sponsored on a monthly basis, helping them meet essential needs such as food, warm clothing, medical support, and other necessities that become urgent in times of crisis. This consistent sponsorship ensures that families are not left to struggle alone after moving into their new homes—it creates a reliable foundation for recovery and long-term resilience.

This winter, UHR strengthened that resilience by installing solar panels on the homes throughout the village. Reliable electricity is critical in border areas where infrastructure can be limited or unstable, and solar power provides a safer, more sustainable solution. It helps families keep lights on, charge phones, and power basic household needs—especially during the colder months when energy demands rise. By combining permanent shelter, ongoing monthly sponsorship, and sustainable energy solutions, UHR is helping families not only survive, but begin to rebuild with dignity and hope.
