Getting ready for school? Let’s Help a Child in Need Succeed
Many children who live in refugee camps in Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, and Yemen lack the basic tools for education – school supplies. Parents who live below the line of poverty struggle to put food on the table for their families. Unfortunately, buying school backpacks or basic supplies for their children becomes the low priority.
Khalid A, a Palestinian refugee living in Balata Refugee Camp in Nablus – West Bank, like most refugee families believes that education is vital. He says: “I want my children to receive proper school education, but with the increasingly high cost of living, this is becoming difficult.”
Join us this summer to help ease the burden on these parents and help us prepare refugee children for the upcoming school year. Back to school time is already stressful for many here in the US, but it’s worse for refugee families.
By reducing the financial burden on these families and informing them of the educational opportunities available, United Hands Relief hopes to encourage them to continue their children’s education.
For refugees, school supplies can promote learning amid an ongoing education crisis. Donate Now! Your contribution will provide a child with a backpack and school supplies such as pencils, crayons, rulers, notebooks, erasers and more. Any donation will make a difference in the life of a child.
