Serving Local Families with Dignity, Compassion, and Consistent Support

United Hands Relief’s Georgia Pantry Program provides essential groceries and food assistance to local families experiencing financial hardship and food insecurity across the Metro Atlanta area.

The program began as a local outreach effort and has grown through strong partnerships with area masjids and community centers. Grocery distributions are organized regularly, with support reaching families in Lawrenceville, Norcross, Johns Creek, Alpharetta, and surrounding communities.

Families receive grocery packages that may include:

Rice, pasta, flour, beans, and pantry staples
Fresh fruits and vegetables
Milk and eggs
Meat & chicken or fish when available
Cooking oil and canned foods
Other essential grocery items based on availability and family needs

Community Partnerships

The Georgia Pantry Program works in partnership with local communities including:

Islamic Center Nur – Lawrenceville
Jafar Community Center – Johns Creek
Soumaya Community Center – Norcross
Masjid Hamza – Alpharetta

Food collection bins have also been introduced at participating community locations, allowing individuals and families to contribute non-perishable food throughout the month.

How the Program Works

UHR purchases, organizes, packs, and distributes groceries to registered local families in need. The program is supported through community donations, masjid partnerships, food drives, individual donors, and local outreach. Our goal is not only to provide food, but to serve families with dignity, strengthen community relationships, and create a sustainable network of neighbors helping neighbors.
