Feeding the Homeless

Working Together to alleviate Poverty and Hunger.

Help Feed The Homeless

“It is estimated that one out of every six Americans go hungry on a daily basis”
Hunger and homelessness often go hand in hand. And homeless people deserve healthy food too. In addition to providing ongoing humanitarian aid and catastrophic disaster relief, United Hands Relief developed the Feeding the Homeless Program designed to meet the targeted needs of the homeless community in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

This homeless feeding program has a life-changing impact on the individual beneficiaries and entire communities. A team of 8 people prep, serve, and clean to feed 100 plus homeless individuals. Our volunteer crew set up, prepare, and serve food.

Feeding Homeless and Hungry

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) estimated that 11.1% of US households were food insecure in 2018. That’s about 14.3 million households. In Texas it is higher at 18%. The developing food pantry is helping contribute small but measurable provisions, allowing families to allocate this part of their income toward other living essentials. UHR also supports our homeless community members with hot meals, food packages and more.
If you are among those blessed to be able to share their wealth with others, please contribute directly to this food pantry project, where 100% of proceeds will go directly toward purchasing food to keep our shelves stocked.
