Support UHR’s Community Midwives Training Program in Yemen

In Yemen, thousands of mothers in rural and underserved areas give birth without access to skilled care—putting both mother and newborn at risk. UHR is launching a new campaign to strengthen maternal health services by training 20 community midwives through a specialized 3-month development program.

Why This Training Matters

Across Yemen, licensed midwives are scarce—especially in remote villages. Many community midwives already serve their communities but lack updated knowledge, proper tools, or supervised practical experience.
This program bridges that gap by offering:
  • Intensive theoretical and practical training
  • Hands-on practice in delivery rooms
  • Updated medical techniques focused on safe, hygienic delivery
  • Essential equipment and tools for home-based and community care

These women will return to their communities equipped to save lives, prevent complications, and improve outcomes for mothers and babies.
