United Efforts to Combat Poverty and Starvation

January

FOOD SECURITY 
United Hands Relief distributed 2010 large customized food parcels in January 2023 to 14,070 beneficiaries in Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Yemen, Kenya, and Ethiopia. The food parcels contained a variety of staple foods, including rice, beans, lentils, flour, oil, and sugar. The distribution of these food parcels helped to ensure that these families had access to the food they need to survive.

In addition to the food parcels, United Hands Relief also sacrificed 16 goats in Kenya. The meat from these goats was distributed to families in need, providing them with a much-needed source of protein.

CATARACT SURGERIES
United Hands Relief conducted 100 adult cataract surgeries in January 2023 in Ethiopia. Cataracts are a leading cause of blindness in the world, and these surgeries helped to restore sight to 100 people. The surgeries were performed by a team of experienced surgeons, and all of the patients made a full recovery.

WINTER RELIEF
United Hands Relief distributed 2400 winter blankets in Bangladesh and 245 winter kits in Yemen in January 2023. The blankets and kits were distributed to families in need, providing them with much-needed warmth during the cold winter months.

FOOD SECURITY
United Hands Relief distributed 1900 large customized food parcels in February 2023 to 13,300 beneficiaries in Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Yemen, Kenya, and Ethiopia. The food parcels contained a variety of staple foods, including rice, beans, lentils, flour, oil, and sugar. The distribution of these food parcels helped to ensure that these families had access to the food they need to survive.

WINTER RELIEF
United Hands Relief distributed 112 winter kits in Yemen in February 2023. The kits contained a variety of winter essentials, including jackets, blankets, hats, socks, and gloves. The distribution of these kits helped to ensure that families in need had the necessary items to stay warm during the cold winter months.

EARTHQUAKE RELIEF SYRIA/TURKEY
United Hands Relief provided earthquake relief in Syria and Turkey in February 2023. The organization distributed food parcels, winter kits, and hot meals to families affected by the earthquake. The relief efforts helped to provide much-needed assistance to families who were struggling to cope with the aftermath of the disaster.

The earthquake relief efforts were carried out in five phases:

  • Phase I: United Hands Relief distributed 700 large customized food parcels, 220 firewood, 200 winter blankets, and 250 hot meals to families affected by the earthquake.
  • Phase II: United Hands Relief distributed 50 Family Emergency Kits, 100 winter blankets, and 100 Men’s clothes kits to families affected by the earthquake in Afreen Northern Syria.
  • Phase III: United Hands Relief distributed 14,000 bags of bread, 480 Cooking stoves, 240 Kitchen utensils, 100 Emergency food parcels, and 250 hot meals to families affected by the earthquake.
  • Phase IV: United Hands Relief distributed 40 Concrete Homes, 27 temporary shelters (caravans), and 200 Emergency Relief Kits to families affected by the earthquake.
  • Phase V: United Hands Relief distributed 200 Baby formula, 1000 bags of bread, 200 hygiene kits, and 400 food parcels to families affected by the earthquake.

The earthquake relief efforts were a success. United Hands Relief was able to provide much-needed assistance to families who were struggling to cope with the aftermath of the disaster. We are grateful for the support of its donors and partners.


Ramadan Order 1
United Hands Relief pre-ordered 2800 large customized food parcels in February 2023. The food parcels were distributed to families in need during the holy month of Ramadan. The distribution of these food parcels helped to ensure that families have access to the food they need to celebrate Ramadan.

GAZA ORDER 2
United Hands Relief ordered 1,250 food parcels and 2,000 meals in February 2023. The food parcels and meals will be distributed to families in need in Gaza. The distribution of this aid will help to provide much-needed assistance to families who are struggling to cope with the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

EARTHQUAKE RELIEF SYRIA/TURKEY
United Hands Relief provided earthquake relief in Syria and Turkey in March 2023. The organization distributed 200 emergency food parcels, 200 hygiene kits, and 100 clothing kits for women to families affected by the earthquake. The relief efforts helped to provide much-needed assistance to families who were struggling to cope with the aftermath of the disaster.

RAMADAN
United Hands Relief provided Ramadan relief in March 2023. The organization distributed 200 Ramadan food parcels for Bosnia, 4000 Ramadan food parcels for Pakistan, Somalia, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Yemen, Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan, and Gaza, 500 family iftars in Ethiopia, 7500 warm iftar meals at Al-Aqsa Mosque, and 1250 food parcels in West Bank and Jerusalem. The relief efforts helped to provide much-needed assistance to families who were celebrating Ramadan.

April

EARTHQUAKE RELIEF SYRIA/TURKEY
United Hands Relief provided earthquake relief in Syria and Turkey in April 2023. The organization distributed 250 emergency food parcels, 250 hygiene kits, 100 warm meals, 100 kitchen utensils, 100 clothing kits for women, and 200 baby formula to families affected by the earthquake. The relief efforts helped to provide much-needed assistance to families who were struggling to cope with the aftermath of the disaster.

RAMADAN
United Hands Relief provided Ramadan relief in April 2023. The organization provided 3 community iftar meals in Kenya, 960 food parcels in Jordan, and iftar for orphans in Uganda. The relief efforts helped to provide much-needed assistance to families who were celebrating Ramadan.

Kenya Aqiqa 1- Orphans Compound in INDONESIA 
Began construction on an orphanage compound in Indonesia, which will be able to house 100 orphans and provide them with food, shelter, education, and medical care. United Hands Relief also built an outreach center, student dormitories, a full-time school, a playground, a water well, a kitchen and cafeteria, office and supervision rooms, and break rooms in Indonesia. These facilities will provide much-needed services to the local community.

WATER
68 Water Wells in total have been installed across countries that need water sanitation.

DAHLIA GIVES DAYCARE MONTHLY

  • UHR established and fully sponsors a daycare in Ethiopia. It is names after the deceased daughter of one of our bug donors. The daycare caregivers take care of the children of poor single women who work all day and have nowhere to leave their children. UHR provides food for the children and covers all expenses on monthly basis.


Orphan Sponsorship MONTHLY

  • UHR sponsors 1,778 children in Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon, Ethiopia and Kenya. Children receive food,
  • healthcare, education and more.

Gaza

  • UHR Educational Center (fully established and sponsored by UHR)
  • UHR Sponsored Kitchen MONTHLY – Offers food and meals daily to families in need.
  • UHR sponsors a number of families every month providing them with rent, food, and healthcare.
  • Supporting Disabled Children/Youth MONTHLY
  • UHR supports children and youth in need in Gaza through offering free transportation to and from the rehabilitation center, as well as cover the fees of their therapy.
